Mail-in Voting - Key Dates:

• Mail Ballot Requests Open - September 8, 2026
  The District of Sechelt opens the application process for mail-in ballots. Request forms will be made available online and at the Municipal Hall.

• Last Day Mail Ballots Can Be Issued - October 15, 2026
  Under the amended election bylaws, mail ballots may only be issued until 4:00 p.m. on the Thursday before general voting day.

• Mail Ballot Deadline - October 17, 2026 
  All mail-in ballots must also be received by the close of polls.

  • ​If you are mailing your ballot back
    It must arrive at the Post Office (PO Box 129, 5797 Cowrie St, Sechelt BC) no later than noon on Saturday, October 17, 2026.

  • If you are dropping it off in person
    It must be delivered to an official mail ballot return location before the polls close at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 17, 2026.
